Jonathan and Thomas began drumming together in the world-famous Sunday drum circle in Nashville’s Centennial Park. Their extreme drumming styles proved complementary and eventually necessitated a Tribal Percussion Duo. Combining complex orchestration with the raw explosive energy of a drum circle, RhythMystik Tribal Percussion Duo has grown into a world-class drumming phenomenon.

Thomas and Jonathan bring over 38 years of combined drumming experience into an explosive expression of Spirit in Rhythm. Traditional global rhythms united with contemporary drum circle beats as well as elements of Jazz, Hip-Hop, Latin-Groove, and Funk fill their musical offerings.

Jonathan shreds an ever-evolving Super-Afro-Latin-Drumming-Device which includes a full set of Congas, kick-drum, foot-bell/block, cymbals, and a vast array of bells, shakers, chimes…etc.

Thomas rips-it-up on the Djembe, Dun-Dun and other African drums, Didjeridu, Native American and Japanese flutes, and Cajon; all while flying through the air Beat-boxing.

…But be not surprised to find an entirely new instrumentation…for inspiration and energy are the band-leaders.
